As the research
and advocacy arm of the Utah Health Policy Project, the Medicaid & CHIP Policy
Clinic provides timely critical analysis of Medicaid and CHIP policies,
including the state's controversial waiver initiative, the Primary Care
Network. Publications include: Health Matters, a semi-monthly newsletter
on policy and advocacy developments, position papers and fact
sheets, among others.
The Utah Health Policy Project
is pleased to host the activities of the Utah Medicaid Policy Partnership,
a group of policy analysts, providers, health plans, advocates (representing
low-income families, people with disabilities, senior citizens,
and childless adults), consumers, public officials (ex-officio), and academics
who gather together on a monthly basis to problem solve and seek solutions
to the growing challenges of sustaining Utah's Medicaid program. The mission of the UMPP is to "ensure that the Utah Medicaid program provides access to quality, affordable, and comprehensive health care coverage to eligible Utahns."
